Hi All,
I have been L-A-Z-Y lately in the baking department because life just has other ideas than seeing me happily chirp away in my kitchen. So I have decided to share my ideal Fourth-Of-July Menu from the the Blogosphere. I have rudely stolen these photos from each one’s blog so I hope that’s OK folks. Have a great weekend!
Crazily, and not humbly, I would start the holiday with my own Red Velvet Pancakes. No one who is a regular follower is surprised that I would choose my OWN recipe…I am not exactly the type who shyly and sweetly stands in the background with my baked goods.
Next, I would start lunch with a Southwest twist and dip into Rachel’s black bean and avocado salsa.
I would enjoy a Philadelphia inspired lunch with these fabulous looking Philly Cheese Steak Sands from Raymond at Ang Sarap.
Or These Adorable Mini Meatball Sliders from Courtney at Misadventures in Cooking.
Because it’s the Fourth and all, I don’t see any reason not to have dessert after lunch…do you? Not with this incredible Strawberry Upside Down Cake from Yummy Chunklet!
I would start the early part of our evening with this crazy amazing looking Basil Blueberry Mojito from Linda at Savoring Every Bite.
And then eat these crispy, tropical coconut shrimp from Eat, Live, Play.
Save room for dinner because it will be Greg’s Famous HOMEMADE BRATS from Rufus’ Food and Spirits Guide. OMG! Greg’s food always looks “Wish I could eat straight from the screen” fantastic, but these seem like the perfect way to sit out back, under the shaded patio and spend my evening before the fireworks start.
Along side his spicy Brats, I would love this cool, refreshing mint and melon salad from Janna’s Try It, You Might Like It.
Finally, because I AM the CRAZY DESSERT Lovin’ person that I am, I would have a choice of THREE perfect looking desserts.
One…fabulous Peach, Strawberry and Raspberry Crisp from Leah at the Seven Hill’s Collection.
OR this Lattice Topped Blueberry Pie from Joanne at Eats Well With Others.
And Finally…Cream Soda Toffee Cupcakes from Sweet Caroline’s Cooking.
Have a Happy and Safe Fourth everyone! 🙂

Thanks so much for featuring me here! I’m honored! Everything looks great. I’m thinking about doing a “polka dot” theme for my daughter’s first birthdayand was considering serving melon balls in one form or another–so I’m definitely bookmarking that salad. Happy 4th!

Geni, This is wonderful, what a great line up of ideas! Thanks for sharing my drink!! I’m fascinated by the red velvet pancakes! I had made my kids pancakes coordinating to the holidays (green for St. Patty’s, red for valentines) so this really brought back some memories! Hope you enjoyed a great 4th holiday!
